I met Marcus and Jodi because my daughter Reese was a classmate and good friend of their daughter Sydney. Reese spent a lot of time at the Bannon's house. One time I was telling Reese that I was the coolest dad because I played in bands, or I bought her a trampoline, or something. Reese put her foot down time and time again, and insisted I wasn't the coolest Dad. Finally, I asked her who the coolest Dad is. Without hesitation, she replied, "Marcus". Mic drop.
Also, I was fortunate to play bass in Marcus' band Big Moody Curve. It was a blast to be in his orbit. I'll miss him terribly.
