Marcus Marcus Marcus

I just remember Marcus as a little kid running around Kona Swim and Racquet Club with my sister Robin Alberto Hanahan. It’s like the two of them were like little brother and sister seriously looking exactly alike with these big eyes and huge smiles a little skinny bodies and the cutest little bathing suits. I mean most the time it was pretty much that they were up to no good looking to mess around and be silly. Then as we grew up, I would run into Marcus in Los Gatos. Yes, it might be at the Black Watch where I am there, and haven’t been there for years, and he comes waltzing in and we’re like what are you doing here? And he be like oh yeah these are my routines. I’m picking up food for the family. Got a wait for the food. Got to come have a drink..! And then, of course, I just kept constantly running into him as if it was all meant to be because his spirit always lifted me up every time I saw him. I just wish I had spent more quality time with him as an adult and I’m so blessed to have experienced his wonderful celebration of life today to hear the stories, and to see all the people that were touched by him as he was special to me and my family. Today’s memory was so special. It will be a forever, lasting imprint and encouragement for me in my life to continue to persevere, be kind and help others. Thanks, Marcus.
